Krteček Participated in Jāņi Festival

Jāņi is a Latvian festival held in the night from 23 June to 24 June to celebrate the summer solstice, the shortest night and longest day of the year. The day of Līgo (23 June) and the day of Jāņi (24 June) are public holidays, and people usually spend them in the countryside. The festival's eve is held in the evening of 23 June and goes on all through the night.
Men wear an oak leaf wreaths and girls wear a meadow flower wreaths.
Beer and homemade caraway cheese is traditional meal at Jāņi festival.
Bonfire must be kept until sunrise. And traditionally sometimes people jump over it :)

Waardje has got two ears,
and Waardje has got blue fingers.
He is happily smiling you
and bring a lot of fun to you.
Waardje will sit in the show
